How Disassembly Works
We arrive at your current address, carefully disassemble the furniture, bag and label all hardware (screws, cam locks, dowels), and prepare everything for transport. At your new address, we reassemble everything exactly as it was. All hardware is kept in labelled bags per item — nothing gets lost in the move.
What We Dismantle
Any flat-pack or modular furniture: IKEA PAX wardrobes, beds of all sizes, fitted wardrobes (if modular), desks, shelving systems (Billy, KALLAX, IVAR), TV units (BESTÅ), chest of drawers, dining tables. We also handle non-flat-pack furniture that's bolt-together — metal bed frames, sectional sofas, large dining tables.
Disassembly Pricing
Disassembly is typically 60-70% of the assembly price because it's faster — we're taking apart, not building. Reassembly at the new address is standard assembly price. Example: PAX wardrobe disassembly £45, reassembly £70. Bed frame disassembly £30, reassembly £50. Full quote provided before booking.
Moving Day Coordination
We can work with your removal company. Option 1: We dismantle the day before the move, movers transport, we reassemble at the new address. Option 2: We arrive early on moving day, dismantle while movers load, then meet at the new address to reassemble. WhatsApp us your moving date and we'll coordinate the schedule.
Replacement Parts
Sometimes cam locks or dowels get damaged during disassembly — especially on older furniture that's been assembled for years. We carry a stock of standard IKEA replacement hardware (cam locks, dowels, shelf pins, hinge arms) so we can replace any damaged parts on site rather than delaying the job.

Can IKEA furniture be disassembled and reassembled?
Yes — most IKEA furniture is designed to be taken apart and rebuilt. PAX wardrobes, MALM beds, Billy bookcases, KALLAX — all can be safely disassembled. Some older IKEA items with glued dowels are harder to dismantle without damage, but we'll assess and advise before starting.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as soon as you know your moving date. Weekend moving dates fill up 1-2 weeks in advance. Weekday slots are usually available with 2-3 days notice.
Can you store the hardware if there's a gap between moves?
Yes — we bag and label all hardware and can hold it if there's a gap between your move-out and move-in dates. We'll bring everything to the new address when you're ready.
Do you do just disassembly without reassembly?
Yes — if you're moving long-distance or disposing of furniture, we can do disassembly only. Useful if you're selling furniture that's too large to transport assembled.
